When you connect to the network from a computer you must open up an Internet browser and put in a username and password on the page that comes up. How do I connect my Xbox to Live using such a network?

first you need to know if the hotel lets you get Internet for free, if they do get the password from the hotel. then go to network settings on your xbox , then to configure network then go to either test connection or search for networks in range and you should find the name of the hotels network and you type the password they gave you. and u have xbox live!

If you are using a laptop, then connect to the hotels internet via your laptop’s wireless function. From there plug in an ethernet chord from your laptop to your xbox. You may need to change your internet sharing functions on your laptop, but there are plenty of guides online to do so.
